Coordinate face-to-face meetings between WSIS partners, employers, injured workers, employer associations, the medical community and others. Therefore, promoting a positive relationship between WSIS and Nova Scotia Employer’s and Employer Associations
Workers’ Compensation
Guide Employer's in navigating through the system
Review workers’ compensation and other disability case files
Provide advice and support for difficult or complex claims
Assist employers to increase their involvement in all aspects of workers’ compensation
Labour and Employment Laws
Aid employers with preparation for appeals
Lend support with rate assessment concerns and/or appeals
Assist employers to understand their rights and responsibilities
Offer advice and support for compliance issues related to legislation, policies or workplace practice
Workplace Practices & Human Resource Management
Actively participate in site visits
Facilitate early dispute resolution
Promote safe and healthy workplace practices
Develop workplace program development and delivery
Provide relevant information and maintain appropriate communication with employers
